Who is Michael Keenan? Michael Keenan is the President & Owner of Keenan Winery, leading the Spring Mountain District estate since 1998. He learned winemaking on the job under his father, founder Robert Keenan, and renowned winemaker Joe Cafaro — and while he makes the final call on every aspect of the winery, he credits its success to the team.
Raised with an early appreciation for winemaking, Michael maintains a hands-on presence across the estate today, collaborating closely with his staff on viticulture decisions, cellar strategy, and guest experiences in the tasting room. Wine club members and collectors will also recognize his distinct voice in From the President’s Desk, his personal newsletter where he shares candid harvest updates, vintage commentary, and ongoing estate news.
