Keenan winery is located in the Spring Mountain District of the Napa Valley. Over a dozen wineries are located within a four mile stretch of Spring Mountain Road, making it easy to spend the day on Spring Mountain. For more information on the wineries of Spring Mountain District Association.

At Keenan Winery, we produce two proprietary blends and six single varietal wines . When you come visit us for a wine tasting, you can try these wines:
Single Varietal Wines
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of grapes grown on our Spring Mountain District Estate as well as fruit harvested from selected vineyards in Napa Valley. Our fruit is de-stemmed and fermented for 10-14 days. The Cabernet Sauvignon is barrel aged in thirty-three percent new French and American oak for twenty months. Our Cabernet Sauvignon has been described as having “plenty of nuance…with a terrific aromatic complexity.”
Our Merlot is created eighty percent from Keenan Estate Merlot and twenty percent merlot fruit from the Napa carneros region. The grapes are de-stemmed, inoculated with Montrachet yeast and ferments for ten to fourteen days before being barrel aged for eighteen months in thirty-three percent new French and American oak. This merlot has intense black cherry, blackberry, and cassis aromas with complex nuances of cocoa and coffee bean.
In contrast, our other Merlot (Carneros) is only made with grapes from the Napa Carneros district, located in the southern region of Napa near San Pablo Bay. This version of our Merlot has jammy blackberry and raspberry aromas with distinct spicy nuances.
The Cabernet Franc is grown with grapes exclusively grown on the Keenan Estate and de-stemmed. They are also inoculated with Montrachet yeast, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and aged French and American oak barrels for twenty months. Our Cabernet Franc is medium to full-bodied, balances rich fruity flavors with spring flowers.
Our Chardonnay is fermented and aged in French and American oak barrels, stirred weekly without any secondary fermentation. Filled with fruity flavor an oak finish, this Chardonnay is bottled after seven months of aging in the cellar. A particular favorite at during wine tasting.
Syrah wine is made with grapes grown in the Coombsville and Atlas Peak regions of South-eastern Napa. The Syrah grapes are fermented in small half ton boxes and then ages in French and American oak barrels for seventeen months. This wine has a black cherry and blackberry aroma with floral nuances and has a soft texture with wonderful structure.
The Zinfandel wine is fermented in small lots for seven to ten days, then aged in oak barrels for seventeen months to a full two years. This wine is popular during wine tasting since our Zinfandel is rich, full-bodied with an intense black cherry and raspberry fruit aromas.
Mernet is a red wine combination of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This proprietary blend is full-bodied with a depth hidden by our rich and robust flavors. We bring out the perfect balance between our varietals Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Summer Blend is a white wine combination of Chardonnay and Viognier, a light-bodied Rhone varietal. The Summer Blend has floral nuances as well ripe peach, lemon zest, and pineapple that establish the blend’s crisp acidity. Our blend is a medium bodied with a toast oak finish.
