RESTAURANTS SERVING AT OAKLAND MUSEUM TASTE 2018
Shakewell
A neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant with a menu is filled with favorites from places like Spain, Greece, Turkey, and North Africa with special twists. All is created with ingredients made here and sourced from local purveyors, just like their kitchen. In 2017, Shakewell was a Michelin Guide recommended restaurant.
Rich & Rebekah Wood
The proprietors built their early success in the San Francisco restaurant scene in pivotal roles at Rubicon, Farallon, Harry Denton’s & Scala’s Bistro. After 6 years of owning the successful restaurant, Frascati, Rich & Rebekah decided to open a restaurant in a neighborhood closer to their home in Oakland. Wood Tavern embodies the essence of their personalities and provides guests with a sense of comfort unique to the area.
The Bull Valley Roadhouse
Serving a personal take on American fare, prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients from our favorite small farms, along with pre-Prohibition cocktails and our own modern concoctions. The Roadhouse has developed a devoted regional following since opening in November 2012. It was recognized as one of the Bay Area’s top 100 restaurants by the San Francisco Chronicle in 2013, 2014 and 2015, and Condé Nast Traveler named it one of the 70 best new restaurants in the world in 2013.
The Wolf
Presenting French-forward California cuisine, creative reimaginings of Brasserie dishes and ingredients. You’ll love the Coq au Vin and escargot with fresh locally-grown produce from the Farmer’s Market each week. Lunches include hearty sandwiches and meal-worthy salads. Dinner unfolds in courses as desired, paired with a thoughtful collection of local draft beers, artisanal specialty cocktails and an extensive international wine list.
