Sommelier Patrick Cress will be joining me and a small group of fans to share secrets and stories about wine and food pairing, in the intimacy of a private residence. This dinner workshop is by invitation only, and I’m delighted to suggest you join us.
We’ll taste five Keenan wines, paired with five courses from chef Tirzah Love, who owns her own catering company and is a private chef to bay area NBA players. Chef Tirzah’s food will seduce your taste buds. We’ll talk about why the food pairs so well with these specific wines, and how you can recreate this magical alchemy in your own home.
Beginners to sommeliers are welcome. Space is limited, and this event will sell out, so reserve your space now.
See you there,

THE SECRETS TO WINE AND FOOD PAIRING
A private, winemaker dinner and workshop…

Patrick Cress is a 22 year veteran of the restaurant business and certified sommelier. He has bought wine for restaurants since 2007 and helped numerous restaurants open. He buys wine for 3 of the best bay area restaurants including Revival Bar + Kitchen, Venus Restaurant and the Vestry at the Chapel.
In many ways, the Napa Valley brand has become synonymous with fruit forward, high alcohol, and overly extracted Cabernets that lack dimension. But there are some that always buck the trend, committing themselves to balanced food wines, having both the power and grace of Bordeaux. Keenan winery, on Spring Mountain, in Napa Valley, is one of those diamonds in the rough.
