2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley, Spring Mountain District, 30th Anniversary


2006 marks the 30th vintage for the Robert Keenan Winery and the 6th consecutive vintage of "Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon.  The five new Cabernet clones that were planted as bench grafts in the spring of  '98 are now showing their individual characteristics.  A combination of tow of the five clones was chosen for the majority of this 100% Spring Mountain cuvee of 500 cases. Clone 15 (47.5%) and clone 337 (47.5%) our tow Bordeaux clones, magically combine to make an amazingly seamless, rich, deep, earthy blend.  To bring out more chocolaty and licorice like notes, 5% estate Cabernet Franc was added.  Enjoy now or decades from now.
